Warhorse Studios has revealed that official mod support is on the way for Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, and they shared the news with a whimsical image of Henry galloping atop a pink-and-blue zebra, wielding a swordfish. (Yes, you read that right!)

While no release date or specific feature details have been provided yet, a post on Steam confirms Warhorse Studios’ intention to let players “create, tweak, and expand [their] medieval adventure” set in the kingdom of Bohemia.

KCD 2 getting a boost for long-term replayability

As we’ve seen with other role-playing heavyweights, official mod support often breathes life into games well beyond their initial shelf life. Skyrim and Fallout 4, for instance, continue to benefit from the Creation Club, and Baldur’s Gate 3 recently introduced official mod support on both PC and consoles.

The result? Entirely original campaigns and expansions that could keep interest alive for years.

What else can we expect?

Mod support isn’t the only surprise Warhorse has in store. The studio also unveiled an ambitious 2025 roadmap for Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, featuring a set of free springtime updates and three paid expansions that will roll out over the course of the year:

  • Spring (Free)
    • Barber Feature
    • Hardcore Mode
    • Horse Racing
  • Summer (Paid DLC)
    • Brushes with Death
  • Autumn (Paid DLC)
    • Legacy of the Force
  • Winter (Paid DLC)
    • Mysteria Ecclesiae

Important to note that all listed DLCs are currently included with the season pass.

Although mod support isn’t here just yet, you can still explore and install community-made mods from popular sites like Nexus.

Players have already introduced tweaks such as indestructible shoes, additional facial hair for Henry, and even the option to play as Hans Capon.
