Jagexโs RuneScape: Dragonwilds, a co-op survival game set in the RuneScape universe, launched in early access on Steam on April 15, 2025, catching fans off guard with its sudden release.
While PC players are already exploring the dragon-filled continent of Ashenfall, console gamers are wondering if the game will hit platforms like PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or Nintendo Switch 2.
Is RuneScape Dragonwilds console coming?
As of now, Dragonwilds is exclusive to PC, priced at $29.99 on Steam. However, Jagex has confirmed console versions are in development, with a likely release in winter 2026 after the game exits early access.
Given its Unreal Engine 5 foundation, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S are expected targets, and the Nintendo Switch 2โs support for NVIDIA DLSS makes it a plausible candidate too.
Console players can anticipate a more polished version, incorporating updates like new regions, skills, and enemies rolled out during early access.
For now, only PC players can dive into this survival adventure, but Jagexโs plans point to a broader launch next year.
